This weekend’s wellbeing session at Pause With Paws brought together a lovely group of people for an afternoon filled with warmth, laughter, and gentle moments of calm. The event offered a unique chance to connect with others and enjoy the comforting presence of our wellbeing dogs, creating a space where everyone could relax and feel at ease. The changes made from the previous session, including moving to a smaller, quieter room, made a noticeable difference in the atmosphere, turning the afternoon into a truly special experience.



A Cosy and Welcoming Space


After hearing feedback from attendees of the last session, the team decided to hold this event in a smaller room instead of the larger hall. This change transformed the environment into a cosy, inviting space. Tables and chairs were arranged thoughtfully, and soft cushions on the seats added to the comfort. This setup encouraged everyone to settle in and feel comfortable from the moment they arrived.


The smaller room helped reduce distractions and noise, allowing participants to focus on the activities and the connections forming around them. The intimate setting made it easier for people to engage with the dogs and each other, fostering a sense of belonging and calm.



Meeting the Team and Their Dogs


The session began with a gentle introduction to the team and the dogs who play a vital role in the wellbeing sessions. This introduction helped participants understand the purpose behind the activities and the special bond between the dogs and the team. Learning about the dogs’ roles created a sense of trust and curiosity, setting a positive tone for the afternoon.

Tom, one of the directors, helped in the kitchen to ensure everyone was looked after. His support contributed to the smooth flow of the session and reinforced the team’s commitment to creating a welcoming environment.
